If you drive an Asian vehicle with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), you may be wondering what type of fluid you need for the transmission, or specifically, whether you need to purchase the manufacturer-produced fluid.
For CVTs with specific fluid requirements, it is recommended owners use either “genuine” fluids, or fluids created by professionals who have close relationships to OEMs and are capable of producing lubricants that meet the manufacturer’s CVTF requirements.
