ENEOS GM Has Been Appointed to CAWA’s Manufacturers’ Advisory Council

California Automotive Wholesalers’ Association, or CAWA, is an automotive aftermarket trade association which represents auto parts jobbers, retailers, warehouse distributors, manufacturers, manufacturer representatives and program groups. The Association provides educational, legislative and business support to the industry and its membership. It is one of the largest trade associations of its kind in the United States and recognized as a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry.

ENEOS participates in CAWA to help promote and advance the aftermarket parts industry, with whom ENEOS has a strong connection. ENEOS is the largest oil company in Japan and for decades has worked with Japan’s automakers to create advanced lubricants that increase fuel economy without sacrificing power or protection. Although ENEOS’ original business is with OE factory fill, the packaged and bulk products business was founded in recognition of individuals and businesses who want to continue servicing their vehicles with high quality components, in alignment with the common interests of CAWA members.

ENEOS commitment to the aftermarket parts industry has now resulted in the appointment of Hiromi Takahashi, General Manager of ENEOS, to CAWA’s Manufacturers’ Advisory Council.

Takahashi Hiromi

Hiromi Takahashi was born in Los Angeles and lived in both Japan and Taiwan while growing up. Before working with ENEOS, he was an interpreter and scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He came to ENEOS in bulk oil sales 12 years ago, transitioned to OE sales, and is currently General Manager of ENEOS aftermarket sales.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking and scuba diving. His two favorite expeditions have been climbing to the base camp of Mount Everest and exploring the reefs and underwater forests at Bonaire. If you should have the pleasure of dining with Mr. Takahashi, do yourself a favor and enjoy his sommelier-certified food and wine pairing recommendations.

During the appointment process, Tom Seboldt, Chair of the Board of Directors, commented: “We are pleased that (the ENEOS) representative will continue in our leadership through Hiromi’s participation and contributions. He has participated in CAWA events and is very willing to contribute to the Association’s discussions on contemporary industry issues. We look forward to their perspectives and insights, from their vantage points, that will assist the Association in achieving its goals as an effective automotive aftermarket industry organization.”
